What is the Difference between hard and soft styles?
This question as been read 260 times
Hard styles use force against force to stop a kicking or punching attack. Since this style of fighting uses strength the strongest fighter, more often than not, wins. Soft styles redirect the blow instead of meeting the force head-on. Since this style of fighting uses skill over strength it is not necessary to be particularly strong to be effective. Ving Tsun is a soft style which uses the opponent's force against him to take their balance and create openings in which to make an effective attack.
